COVID-19 Coronavirus [Update 23-May-2020]:

In line with government directives, we are currently closed

We hope to reopen on July 4th

Thank you so much to all our guests who have contacted us to express their support. It means so much to us.

The UK government has given a tentative date of July 4th from which accommodation providers in England may be able to reopen, so we have made our schedules available from that date.

Due to current uncertainty we have waived our normal cancellation policies for all new bookings up to September 30th so please do book without concern.
All existing bookings up to July 4th can also be cancelled with no charge of course and we will extend that date if necessary.

We are very fortunate to have a spacious guesthouse and gardens, where contact between guests is minimal. Our large dining room has 8 individual tables, well spaced from each other.

Nevertheless we need to be very cautious once we reopen and will be implementing appropriate measures, as follows:

  • A thorough deep-clean of the guesthouse prior to opening
  • Hand-sanitiser available in common areas
  • Ensuring social distancing measures at check-in
  • Enhanced cleaning of all surfaces in guest rooms and common areas
  • A reduced number of tables in the dining room and at least 2m distancing between tables
  • Breakfast divided into different sittings to reduce the number of guests in the dining room
  • We intend to wear masks while cooking breakfasts and serving
  • A microwave available near the fridge on the guest landing, to allow guests to make their own meals rather than eating out if preferred

We hope that this gives you confidence to book with us as we reopen our doors.

We are very open to hear of any feedback or requests you might have in addition to these points.
